The Best Pod and Tank Setups for JUSTVAPE 50/50 Liquids
Four refillable pod kits and one MTL tank setup the Just Vape team recommend most often for JUSTVAPE 50/50 shortfills in 2026, with the right wattage, coil resistance and pod choice for each.
JUSTVAPE 50/50 works best in refillable MTL or RDL pod kits with 0.8 to 1.0 ohm mesh coils at 12 to 18W.
Best mid-range: Vaporesso XROS 5 or OXVA Xlim Pro 2. Best starter: Aspire Pockex or Innokin Endura T22. Avoid sub-ohm DTL tanks.

The 4 pod kits that pair cleanest with JUSTVAPE 50/50
The four kits below are the ones the Just Vape team recommend most often at the counter for JUSTVAPE 50/50. Each handles the 50/50 ratio cleanly, runs in the right wattage range and gives a meaningful flavour and throat hit at 3mg. The single biggest hardware mistake we see at the counter is people trying to use 50/50 shortfills in sub-ohm tanks designed for high-VG liquids. The result is leaking, muted flavour and burnt coils inside a week.
1. Vaporesso XROS 5 (best all-round)
The XROS series has been the UK best-seller for nic salt and 50/50 pod kits for several years, and the XROS 5 with COREX 3.0 mesh pods is the cleanest flavour delivery in the range. 0.8 ohm pod, 1500mAh battery, adjustable airflow slider, 0.88-inch display showing wattage and battery. Run at 14 to 18W with JUSTVAPE 50/50 for the best flavour. Around £22 to £25 for the kit, refill pods £4 for two.
2. OXVA Xlim Pro 2 (best pod life)
The 2026 standout for shortfill use. Pod life is industry-leading at 10 to 14 days of normal use on a single 0.8 ohm pod, the mesh coils give clean flavour and the magnetic side-fill design avoids leaks when topping up. 1300mAh battery, side airflow slider. Slightly more expensive than the XROS 5 but the longer pod life often makes it cheaper per ml of vaping.
3. Aspire Pockex (best starter)
The simplest starting kit. Inhale-activated (no buttons), fixed wattage, single-coil pod. Reliable and forgiving with 50/50 shortfills. Coil resistance is 1.2 ohm, which gives a tighter cigarette-style MTL draw than the 0.8 ohm pods on the XROS 5 or Xlim Pro 2. Around £23 in starter kit form. Ideal first kit for ex-disposable users moving to a refillable setup.
4. Innokin Endura T22 (most flexible starter)
Slightly more flexible than the Pockex with a small wattage adjustment, but still simple enough for a first-time vaper. The Endura range has been on the UK market for years and remains one of the most reliable beginner choices for 50/50 shortfills. Tank-style rather than pod-style, which suits vapers who prefer a larger e-liquid capacity per fill.
Honourable mention: Innokin Zenith II MTL tank
If you have a vape mod and prefer a separate tank to a pod kit, the Innokin Zenith II is the cleanest MTL tank for 50/50 shortfills in 2026. 1.0 ohm or 1.2 ohm coils, 12 to 18W, tight cigarette-style draw. Pairs well with single-battery 18650 mods like the Innokin Coolfire Z80 or the Aspire Reax.
Vaporesso XROS 5
Cleanest flavour delivery in a mid-range pod kit. COREX 3.0 mesh pods, adjustable airflow, clear display. The pick if flavour quality is your top priority.
OXVA Xlim Pro 2
Longest pod life in the mid-range. Pods last 10 to 14 days, magnetic fill, leak-resistant. The pick if you want to minimise pod replacements.
Sub-ohm DTL tanks
0.4 ohm or below at 40W+ is built for 70/30 high-VG shortfills. JUSTVAPE 50/50 in that setup leaks, mutes flavour and burns coils inside a week.
Prefilled disposable-style pods
Lost Mary BM6000, SKE Crystal Pro and similar sealed-pod kits cannot be refilled with shortfill. Use a refillable pod kit instead.
Setting up your new pod kit with JUSTVAPE 50/50
The four steps the Just Vape team walks new customers through at the counter, regardless of which pod kit they chose.
Charge the kit fully first
30 to 60 minutes on a USB-C charger from new. A partially charged battery gives a weaker first impression and most pod kits won’t reach their rated wattage until fully charged.
Mix the bottle before filling the pod
If you are adding nic shots, do it before filling. Two 18mg shots into a 100ml shortfill, shake 30 seconds, rest 5 minutes. Our mixing guide covers each step.
Fill the pod and prime the coil
Fill to the line on the pod, then wait 5 minutes before the first puff. Priming lets the wicking material absorb the e-liquid. Skipping this step burns the coil on the first hit.
Start at the lower end of the wattage range
14W for a 0.8 ohm pod, 12W for a 1.0 ohm. Step up only if the flavour feels weak. Starting low protects the coil and lets you tune up to your sweet spot.
Once dialled in, the same pod will last 10 to 14 days on a fruit or menthol JUSTVAPE flavour, less on dessert. For more on which flavour to pair with your kit, see our flavour rankings guide.
